Windermere Florida will finally be getting the much needed West Orange High relief school! Currently, West Orange High School is over capacity by about 800 students and the growth in the area is not stopping any time soon! The new relief school is greatly needed and will be located on County Road 535 and Fiquette Road.
Orange County Public Schools have some fantastic plans for the new school that will help to keep homeowners close by happy. 2.5 million in architectural upgrades will include trees to be planted between the homes and the school, a decorative fence along county road 535, an 8 foot-high concrete wall along resident property boarders, and the district has decided to have the lighted football stadium located to an off-site local recreational complex out of consideration of those residents living nearby. The new school will be ready for the 2017-18 school year!
