Mt. Dora is celebrating their 2nd annual Blueberry Festival April 23-24 at Elizabeth Evans Park, Mt. Dora FL On The Waterfront from 9am-5pm! This is a free event for everyone, to come and enjoy Florida grown Blueberries, a blueberry pancake breakfast, blueberry wine & craft beers, blueberry desserts, 100 crafters, plants and music. Did you know that Florida is now producing 17 million pounds of blueberries per year, with goals of surpassing, one day Georgia’s 100 million pounds per year. With debilitating frosts during our winter months in recent years the citrus industry in Florida has been hit hard.
